B.A. Hons' Industrial Relations and Politics; D.I.R.T.U.S (Dip' Industrial Relations & Trade Unions Studies Having gained a 2.1 Honours Degree at the University of Kent and a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Trade Union Studies he held the post of Research Officer and Deputy Head of Research for the Communication Workers Union between 1989 and 2002. In 2002 he established a tour company offering holidays along the Pilgrims' Way and combines this with freelance research work. He maintains a keen interest in local history and in addition to the history associated with the Pilgrims' Way he has undertaken research in rural conflict in the hop-gardens of Kent and the civil disturbances in Dunkirk associated with the Poor-Law reforms |
