BIOGRAPHY
JUDY BUCKLEY

Judy Buckley loved history at school, but read mathematics for her first degree. Although history has had to take second place to family and other activities, in 1987 she passed the Diploma in English Local History at Portsmouth, with a dissertation on "A Wealden Village; Wisborough Green 1600-1650." She subsequently edited "West Sussex History," and compiled the catalogue for the Horsham Museum collection. Moving to Kent in 1996, she joined Dr Jacqueline Bower's history class, and got to know the Centre for Kentish Studies. For her second dissertation on the Maidstone jurats, Judy found the internet such a tremendous asset that she has now joined the KAS-AC website team. .
